The College for Health, Community and Policy (HCaP) is UTSA’s largest college, representing 20% of the student body.
HCaP contains nine academic disciplines, all of which inform each other. The College was created exactly because these important areas directly affect one another – you can’t examine public policy, for example, without considering public health, criminology and criminal justice, psychology, nutrition, sociology, and more.
By making a gift to HCaP, you will make a lasting difference in the lives of many. Together, we are a force for the future.

What does my gift support?
The Inaugural HCaP Scholarship will ensure the best and brightest students can attend our programs without financial strain and ensures diversity, equity and inclusion. The scholarship funds will be given to undergraduate and graduate students.
Key areas of HCaP Success
Over 28,000 HCaP alumni have become leaders in their communities, serving as city managers, program managers, CEOs of public and private organizations, public safety officials, social workers, health workers, physician-scientists, nurses, therapists, and researchers working to make our cities better places to live. This fund ensures they have an adequate foundation to go on into the workforce to make an impact.
Established in 2021, iHCaP houses five research centers and institutes. The researchers involved have been awarded $5.4M in grants across 16 projects. Your gift ensures we can continue to support our researchers who are conducting important studies in San Antonio and beyond.
