Alpha Sigma Alpha is a women’s organization that exists to promote high ideals and standards for its members throughout their lives by emphasizing balance among the four aims of intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development. This organization strives to develop women of poise and purpose and assist its members in fostering lifetime friendships.
The opportunity of receiving a scholarship will allow our women the financial means to continue their education while having a lasting positive impact on the community.
This organization inspires women to lead, to serve, and most of all, to make a difference. Since its establishment at UTSA in 1979, the women of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority have been dedicated to improving the community around them through various philanthropic and academic work and encouraging all members to joyously live each day to its ultimate good.
The Alpha Sigma Alpha scholarship is open to all applying UTSA Alpha Sigma Alpha members and is awarded annually by the UTSA Alumni Association.
