La Raza Faculty Staff and Administrators Association has been working across the university to raise awareness of Latinx issues at UTSA for 35 years. La Raza has been advocating for policies, practices, and support systems to accelerate Latinx student success as the university becomes a model HSI, greater representation of Mexican American and Latinx faculty and administrators, and policies and practices that will advance racial, economic, and social equity for the communities that UTSA serves.
La Raza seeks to continue building connections with students and will use donations to support UTSA students. Creating more opportunities and scholarships opens more doors for students and allows them to focus on their studies.
