The Roadrunner Athletic Fund (RAF) provides scholarship support for more than 350 Roadrunners student-athletes. While many people think of scholarship support as covering the basic costs of a college education such as tuition, books and fees, RAF goes above and beyond. Today’s student-athlete scholarship covers medical care, academic support, nutritional plans, professional development programs and an additional cost of living stipend to help fund housing and off-campus meals. These extra branches of support are meant to take the financial burden away from student-athletes and allow them to compete at the highest level in competition and in the classroom. Your contributions to RAF will ensure that we continue to afford these opportunities to our students.
The Athletics Title IX Opportunity Fund supports special travel opportunities, cultural experiences, leadership training, cutting-edge equipment, state-of-the-art technology and team bonding outings for eligible sports or student-athlete initiatives.
Donors who participate in UTSA Giving Day can also receive exclusive bonus stewardship opportunities from UTSA Athletics:
- All donors who give $25 or more will receive a customized phone screensaver
- The first donor to UTSA Athletics will receive a pair of 16 oz. UTSA RAF branded cups
- All donors who give $210 or more will receive exclusive UTSA autographed trading cards
- All donors who give $500 or more will receive a personalized message from a student-athlete
- All donors who give $1,000 or more will receive an invitation to an exclusive UTSA RAF event
