Supporting and Recognizing Academic Advisors
Academic Advising is absolutely critical to student success at UTSA. Advisors have a direct impact when it comes to assisting students and the University in ways such as, but not limited to, academic growth and support, student persistence, holistic student development, referrals to University resources, timely graduation rates and career readiness. Advisors are the often-unsung heroes of our university’s growth and student retention, and this initiative will help to show appreciation for the vital role they play at UTSA.
For 2024, anonymous donors have stepped forward with $3,000 to help establish a fund that will support and empower the 90+ academic advisors at UTSA so they may level-up holistic advising that promotes student success and retention that leads to timely graduation. Academic Advising funds will be used to support professional development, innovation, and other crucial resources for the academic advising community. The first twenty gifts to this initiative will unlock $1,000. An additional $1,000 will unlock once 40 people donate. The final $1,000 will unlock when 50 people donate to the Academic Advising initiative
