What is “Archer”?
Archer prepares the next generation of leaders from Texas.
The Archer Fellowship is a semester-long live, work and study program in Washington, DC. Archer Fellows get an in-depth look at policymaking, history and advocacy while interning full-time with various offices and organizations around the nation’s capital. Students have chosen to intern at the White House, Capitol Hill, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, and other federal agencies and nonprofit organizations across D.C.
UTSA ensures program costs are covered for all Archers. And we need your help.
We want to raise $10,000 to support Archer Fellows during Giving Day 2024. Please contribute to the Archer Fellowship Fund and support talented UTSA students
Archer is transformative for our ‘Runners.
“The highlights during my time in the Archer Fellowship were having class on the National Mall while debating about important social issues that affect the entire United States,” UTSA alum Brandon Hobza said. “Additionally, I had the opportunity to see firsthand how policy is created through my internship at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.”
