Rowdy Ring Statue

Be honest, even after Graduation Day there’s a part of us that doesn’t really want to leave UTSA. We want to always be Roadrunners – Rowdy and ready to take on the world. AND WE CAN BE.

The Alumni Association is bringing a full-scale Rowdy statue to the UTSA Main Campus! Our beloved mascot is nearly 50 years old, and it’s only fitting that he has a dedicated place in the heart of campus – Sombrilla Plaza. This full-size statue will be accompanied by one of UTSA's most beloved traditions – an enlarged Roadrunner Ring.

Gifts towards this special project will help fund foundry and installation costs, as well as provide necessary funding for the UTSA Ring Tradition and other related programming.

Stay tuned, as the statue is expected to be unveiled in the Fall of 2024!
