Honors College

The UTSA Honors College guides students in their academic and professional development to accelerate social mobility and transform their futures. Honors coaches students how to dream big and build practical pathways to reach their goals. Honors students pursue internships, study abroad, and research. The Honors curriculum emphasizes success beyond the GPA, such as interdisciplinary, project-based courses to solve problems. Our experiential approach helps students intellectually achieve beyond their horizons as future leaders and successful professionals. Your gift will support our students in their pursuit of an exceptional, transformative education by providing programs and opportunities that make them successful.

Will you help us nurture these roadrunners to exceed their own expectations and push the boundaries of their potential?

These are the faces of the Honors College. We are 68% underrepresented minorities and 16% First Generation. Our students represent every academic unit at the university. One key benefit of Honors is that students become even more competitive for employment and graduate school through opportunities to win national awards and fellowships. Students in this photo are National Science Foundation Graduate Fellows, Gilman Scholars, Goldwater Scholars, Truman Scholars, and Fulbright Scholars. They currently attend programs at Harvard, MIT, Cal Tech, UPenn, and Boston College. They are tomorrow’s leading scientists, businesspeople, politicians, artists, and change makers in our community.
